hi im bitter about people not commenting on fics. im sad seeing all these authors get so discouraged because no one comments. it takes like 5 seconds! just do it!!

dont know what to type? me neither! heres some handy pre-written comments for you!
“I dont know what to comment! That was great! thank you for your hard work!”
“That was lovely! I really enjoyed this chapter/fic.”
“How dare you?”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAA”
“Extra kudos because one is not enough!”

if you read a fic and dont know what to say, leave the tab open, come back later! see if theres a line you really liked! tell them if it reminded you of something dumb! tell them if your roommate saw you crying while reading it and now your roommate is reading it!!! SHARE WHATEVER. BE INCLUSIVE!
everyone wants to hear SOMETHING. silence kills passion. show authors you care!
show artists you care!!!!

THIS!

This is more true than you know, okay. Seeing no comment, no reblog and just a few likes, if at all, on a story you poured your heart into is crushing beyond your belief. If you don’t write you might not think it’s a bad thing, but it is. Writers are excited like little kids on Christmas about a comment that just says “I really loved this, good job!”, okay. It doesn’t have to be an essay or an analysis, but please show your appreciation and don’t just leave.

All of the things ^^^

Please to all of these; all your comments and re-blogs is what fuels me to write more!!!!

I feel this! I have like… 2 regular rebloggers/commenters, and thats what I live for

Oh really? Ok!

I’m reblogging this in two ways:
1. first and foremost as a writer who is really incredibly lucky to have lots of readers who DO comment. I’m reblogging this more on the behalf of the fandom writers out there who aren’t as lucky as I am and don’t get as many comments, bookmarks, and kudos!
2. secondly, as a plea, not a demand. Like all people, we too suffer from self-doubt and wonder if our beloved, angsted-over, drafted and edited and lain-awake-thinking-about creation will find a welcome in our fanverse, if anybody will read it, like it, etc. Sometimes it doesn’t get any hits. Sometimes it gets hits but nothing else, which definitely feels like the people who read it didn’t like it. Sometimes people talk about it to their friends, or on facebook pages or on forums, but they don’t actually TELL THE AUTHOR, and that’s so important, because that enthusiasm is the only thing that fuels us!

It doesn’t have to be eloquent. It doesn’t have to be a million words long. It doesn’t have to be the Best Comment Ever. But do say something, yeah? And for God’s sake, if you didn’t like it, why did you bother reading it all the way to the end? If you didn’t read it all the way to the end, then I assume you backspaced out of there and found something you liked better. If you read it all the way to the end, something about it obviously held your attention or interest well enough for that. You could comment on that part.

You want to leave constructive criticism? That’s a maybe. Perhaps ask first. Not everyone is writing with the specific goal of receiving instruction. Lots of people – dare I suggest most – are doing it for fun and to share something they created.

You hated it and want to say so? There is exactly one option here: don’t. Just don’t. Don’t leave a hateful comment. Your one assinine comment might be the thing that makes that person decide to never write again. Your suggestion that they kill themselves because they dared write something that you, person #839207930948390 on the internet, personally didn’t care for, is not a valid reason. Do not do this. EVER. There are no exceptions to this rule. And I say that as someone who has received upwards of 100 hateful comments, over 50 invitations to kill myself, and around 15 actual death threats. They HURT. And if the person who received this hate has a history of self-harm or frequent thoughts about it, your comment or threat could be their tipping point. Just don’t do it.

TL;DR: do leave positive comments. It helps us write more. Honestly. Don’t ever leave hate or threats.

This is really, immensely, cute and funny and all but…he was mostly talking to the woman, Dr. Stapleton and not John. He pointed right at her, addressing her only, which is why she is the one who replies and John looks between them.
Sherlock wanted the annoying female to leave and John was all too happy to go with her. John knows what Sherlock is like in his Mind Palace, as he’s been around to witness it.

I feel like when you’re writing, organizing chapters and dialogue is easy

but jfc, the amount of time it takes to constantly keep people moving and make sure they’re in the right spaces and trying to come up with wording for it is always such a shock.

Like, fuck, I made you pick up a coffee cup, you need to put it down at some point. also I can’t remember what I dressed you in, can you push up your sleeves? I don’t remember if you even have your shirt on.

and YOU. YOU OVER THERE, you got out of your chair earlier, but did you come back yet? Are you coming back? Where did you even go and why’d you get up? Fuck, I can’t make you sit down again already, you just stood up, go…over there. go get more coffee. Did you bring your mug with you? fine. bring the pot to the table and—wait, wasn’t the coffee pot already over here? shit, hold on, I need to go back and re-read and re-write

this is the most relevant thing i have ever read.

I think one of the most wild things as a writer is the sensation that you’re not actually directing your characters– they’re sort of directing themselves, and you’re scrambling around attempting to copy down whatever it was that they just did, but they don’t wait for you to finish copying. They just keep walking and talking and moving around and existing of their own volition and at some point you look up and you’re like “WHOA OKAY EVERYBODY BACK THE FUCK UP WHERE ARE WE”

It’s kind of like trying to write sheet music for an orchestra while it’s playing

Oh my god its in words

^^^^^ So much this, I have to constantly double check both RP stuff and fics for consistency. I’m usually alright but there have been times where I’ve totally screwed up on it.

Hi everyone! This is the first time ever that I’m attempting to make an artbook, I call this one Redbeard. Why Redbeard, because everything inside is about bbc sherlock and johnlock xD

anyway in its content, I will include almost all of my sherlock artworks, plus photoshop tutorials on how I created those artworks, commentaries and more.

Printing a book is expensive which is why I’m using Kickstarter to get the funds!

Support my Artbook!

It’s always been my dream to make an artbook but I never do because I’m always critical of my art and no one will want it and then I succumb to my own fears. But not this time, I’m just gonna go all in and there’s no harm in trying

I hope you support my project! Please help me to  signal boost this by reblogging and sharing this project on other social media. Every reblog helps! 😀

Thank you so much! Have a wonderful day
