Empath!Stiles where he didn’t want to scare his only friend away so he never told Scott about it. Then when werewolves-are-real becomes a thing Stiles feels like there’s more important things going on than mentioning his silly, little ability. When Pack Cuddeling becomes a thing he blurts the first thing that comes to mind (“Don’t touch me. I might get horny.” It wasn’t a lie per se, because if someone is aroused and touches him then he’s done for), but in reality it’s because touching so many people at once will hurt and overload him. Getting other people’s emotions shoved on him always leaves him feeling weak and vulnerable.
Peter’s the only one who notices how withdrawn and touch starved Stiles really is. So he starts with small touches: a hand on his back to push him out of the way or a brush of their arms. Stiles always jumps like he’s been shocked, but seems to be able to relax almost immediately afterwards.
Peter’s spent his whole life trying to shove his emotions down, a nessessity when being a left hand for a pack of werewolves, and the muted feelings are like a soothing balm on Stiles’ frazzled nerves. He’s spent years avoiding touches and now he finally has a person who he can touch and won’t get hurt.
