John Watson writes a blog about his amazing adventures with Sherlock Holmes. However, he never includes the adventures that he doesn’t want the public to be aware of.
AU close to BBC cannon. Deleted scenes in which John and Sherlock’s friendship got a lot closer than in the show. Johnlock forever!
2 am – 20 hours without sleep. The experiment may be starting to affect me. Slight heart palpitations earlier -either due to the caffeine or lack of sleep. Maybe lack of food too. Only other possible stimulus could be the barista, but logically speaking, it’s impossible for a smile or a brush of fingers as drinks are passed over to have an effect on the circulatory system. John works the night shift at a 24-hour coffee shop, and meets a mildly sleep-deprived and caffeine-dependent Sherlock Holmes, experimenting on the effects of sleep deprivation on his mind and body. This is written for the Always1895 September prompt: Coffee Shop.

“Er… Sherlock,” the man replies.
AU in which John is an author, and Sherlock is a fan who comes to his book signing.
Sherlock knows. Sherlock knows what this will do to John. Sherlock knows what he will do to John. John. Honest, brave, dependable John. Trusting, warm, passionate John. Moral, righteous, true John. Sherlock is going to break his heart to save his life.
Injured by a mysterious gunman, Sherlock is sent to a safe house to recover while Mycroft tracks down his assailant. The house, hidden deep in the countryside, is old and drafty, and – according to rumors – haunted by a English soldier wounded in World War 1. A series of strange events soon has Sherlock questioning his firm disbelief in the supernatural and past lives.
Sherlock is a cataloguer who’s forced to work the reference desk once a week. Which he hates. Or at least, he used to hate it, until the library hired a new reference librarian. Guess who?
Sherlock has stayed healthy as years have passed—so many that fear of a relapse of his Guillain-Barré begins to fade into obscurity even in the mind of Mycroft Holmes.
But, one day, a cryptic text message arrives from John Watson.
