The guy didn’t have to go to Sherlock. If he hadn’t, there was a 90% chance that he wouldn’t have got caught. I bet Moriarty told him to go to Sherlock. I mean, you have to know your enemy and how they work don’t you?
I’ve always thought that too. Walking up there, getting Sherlock, that was so stupid!!! BUT then I thought… Damn, Moriarty didn’t know very much about John Watson now, did he?
That certainly was a fine way to find out that Sherlock had a Soldier at his back.
