I wonder where this is for the deer to be so calm around people?

More than likely near a park or wildlife reserve where the deer are reachable. There’s a place an hour or so away from where I’m at that has deer, geese, and ducks in a quiet enclosure to themselves with a bit of forest and a pond. The deer will walk up to you and you can pet them.
