Sitting there in his hospital room for Six years trapped in his own body healing cell by cell after witnessing 11 members of his family murdered by fire. Family members who weren’t just adults.
I think it’s more personal for Peter because he was there to witness it. Derek was not. Derek only saw the aftermath that is why he was able to stay sane. Witnessing that broke Peter. I will forever be on Peter Hale’s side.
